1. Clear all IE browsing history. (In Internet Explorer, click Settings, point to Safety, and then select Delete browsing history. Choose the types of data or files you want to remove from your PC, and then select Delete.)
  2. Go to "C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\OfficeFileCache" and delete all content of this folder. This is where all the cache of your files is stored. (It's ok if one or two items cannot be deleted).

After deleting the above-mentioned items, try opening the file again, check if you still get the same error.
